Despite its challenging political situation, Tibetans are known for their unwavering spirit and commitment to preserving their cultural heritage and striving for freedom. One interesting fact is that Tibetans have developed creative forms of resistance, such as the practice of “Lhakar” or #WhiteWednesday, where Tibetans express their cultural identity and solidarity by wearing traditional clothing, speaking their native language, and supporting local businesses every Wednesday. This grassroots movement showcases the resilience and determination of #Tibetans in their quest for freedom and autonomy. It is known as #LHAKAR, a Tibetansword that is translated as “White Wednesday”.

Wednesday is the auspicious day of the Dalai Lama, and white is the color for purity. Eat speak and wear Tibetan.
